BORDER CROSSING

Fredericton Airport (YFC)

Whether you are planning your visit to New Brunswick's capital region for business or leisure, travelling around the province, or just passing through, it is our goal to make your experience at the Fredericton International Airport a pleasure. While doing our part, we would also like the opportunity to help showcase what our beautiful and scenic area has to offer and over the coming months, you will see a change in the airport to help demonstrate just what we mean. After all, we are called the "Picture Province": We want your airport experience to be as pleasant and worry-free as possible, and hope you can take the opportunity to fly with us again.

Greater Moncton International Airport (YQM)

is a small airport, but has recently been rebuilt. The airport lies to the East of Moncton, effectively on the edge of Dieppe, which is a suburb of Moncton.

The airport has relatively standard shops and fast food outlets, but bear in mind that once past security, shops and food services are extremely limited.

Taxis and limited hotel shuttle services are available from the airport, but no public transport serves the airport at present. Moncton airport is currently served by Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz, Continental Airlines, and WestJet.

Located in the hub of the Maritimes, the Greater Moncton International Airport (GMIA) has a vibrant passenger market, serving more consumers within a 2.5-hour drive than any other airport in Atlantic Canada. Since its privatization in 1997, the airport has grown significantly both in passenger (133% increase) and cargo (74% increase) traffic.

Airport has experienced such a tremendous passenger growth, which has resulted in the construction of a new state-of-the-art terminal building. The thematic design of the building was inspired by the province of New Brunswick, one of the most beautiful regions in Canada. Its citizens are known world wide for their warmth and friendliness.

These traits, coupled with the natural resources indigenous to this part of the world, like wood and water as well as natural attractions like the Tidal Bore and the Hopewell Cape Rocks provided the inspiration for the design of the building. The 85,000 sq.ft. terminal includes 22 check-in counters, passenger lounge, retail shopping, food service outlet and customs and immigration facilities.

GMIA provides user-friendly connections around the world and offers over 100 weekly direct flights serving all major commercial centers in Canada.

Saint John Airport (YSJ)

The Saint John Airport is pleased to now be offering free Wi-Fi service to its passengers. According to Judith Brown, Manager of Finance and Administration, the Airport administration worked closely with Bell Aliant to negotiate an agreement for the provision of the service. “This wonderful new service offering would not be possible without the generous cooperation of our partners at Bell Aliant. We are pleased to recognize their contribution for making this possible”.

Free Wi-fi was just one of the wish-list items highlighted by passengers in a recent user survey. The Airport’s restaurant provider, The Sandwich Layer, recently installed coffee service inside the secure departure area and is in the process of revamping its menu and negotiating with local craftspersons to enhance the retail options inside the giftshop area.

Bathurst Airport (ZBF)

Welcome to the Bathurst Regional Airport The northern New-Brunswick airport of choice. We strive to exceed passenger expectations by providing service that is fast, frequent, on time and above all safe !! In 1996, a large increase was noted in the air traffic at the Bathurst Regional Airport. The runway expansion opened the door for the possibility of larger aircraft landing in Bathurst. Larger aircraft including Stone Container’s Gulfstream IV and the Canadian Snowbirds were among the many that rested on the apron. In 1999, the airport celebrated the 10th anniversary of its partnership with Air Nova. It also introduced the concept of a user fee to provide with a stable source of income and money to put towards expansion.

In 2003 the Canada Winter Games generated an exponential increase in passenger flow at the airport. Air Canada Jazz added extra flights to keep up with the overwhelming demand.
