It was great to bring my dad + brother in law up here.
We saw lots of bears and had many laughs. Hunting with Harvey Metz & Jeff Heim was great too.
Always nice to have great guy's in camp. Food was 1st Class, camp was extremely comfortable and the hunting was second to none!!

This is a First Class Place to hunt Black Bear better then Quebec Canada. This is my 4th trip up to hunt. Last year missed a BIG BEAR, 2nd year I shot a bear, 3rd time up seen a BIG BEAR & don't get a shot, 4th trip up I shot a bear 3rd night out. If they tell you to stick it out at a bait, stay there and you will stand a good chance at shooting a bear.

My 2009 Hunt by: Jeff Heim
This is the place to be if you want a great bear hunt.
I've been here 5 times and killed 4 bears, 2 with rifle, 1 with a flintlock muzzle loader and 1 with an in-line muzzler loader.
Next time will be the bow. The dictionary doesn't have enought good words in it to describe the 2 guys that run this operation. Raymond and Paul are great guys. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much for everything you have done for me these past five days. I killed my first animal which was quite a big one, I got the best room in the cabin, learned the receipe to the best mashed potatoes ever, and gained 10 pounds!
I must say it has been quite a blast. You both made me feel right at home. I can't wait to come back, that is if I am allowed after I made you guy's carry my 308 pound bear...

For the second years in a row, my two sons and I scored with bear, and memories that will last forever.
The food and lodge were excellent, and the effort that Ray and his crew put forth is second to none. From my experience, you won't go hungry and if you trust your guide, you will see bear.
To be able to shoot a 345 lb. boar and share the experience with my sons, is a great thrill.

My first experience with Y&R GUIDES was mid may 2005. My week with Ray & Paul was both exciting and relaxing. I shot a 165 lb male bear on the 4th day of the hunt.
I enjoyed many naps (luxury not often had) and good food prepared by our hosts.
Both Joe Kook and I returned on 07 for another week mainly due to the pleasurable experience provided by Ray & Paul. There are a lot of places to bear hunt. This one is a good find !
Yes?we shot two more bears, ate well, enjoyed good company and took naps too.

I would like to start by just saying thank you. You guys have made this hunt memorable in so many ways.
Monday sitting in the stand with Raymond in the cold rain with no umbrella.
Tuesday getting to be picky with bear I wanted to shoot.
Wednesday finally getting the bear I wanted, 2nd & 3 rd shots not needed.
Thursday getting to go baiting & hoping the other guys would get a bear (my boyfriend being one of them).
Friday my boyfriend finally getting one.
There is just so much I could write. Everything was wonderful ! I?m ready for next year ! You know what bait I want ! To sum this whole experience up in one word?priceless !
Note to future hunters?you got to have patience & trust your guide !!

Thank you for a great hunt, shot my first bear yesterday. This trip was a christmas present from my wife.
I called home and told her I would like the same present this year. I hunted 24yrs in PA for bear and never got a shot, will do my best to come back next year.
The guide service is wonderful here, and the cooking and hospitality is great.

This is my first bear hunt. I shot a bear on the first night of the hunt. I finally accomplish something I have always wanted to do.
The guide service & hospitality have been excellent. I hope to come back next year, if wife permetting. Maybe some of Raymond?s recipes will help, my wife is really interested in the fruit salad cake and lasagna recipe.

It's a bitter-sweet time. It's the day after my hunt ended(2nd day). It's sweet because this is the 3rd year in a row that I have come up here to hunt and it is the 3rd bear that I shot.
This year I used the Flintlock Muzzelloader to harvest the bear. A dream come true for me. It's bitter because I wish I could be back out in the stand to do it all over again. What is also bitter is the fact that I have to wait a whole year to do it again. I'll be back again next year.
As for the Guides, you cannot find a more dedicated group than these guy's. They strive to please the client. It is the way a Guide Service should be run. I cannot say enough good things about Raymond, Paul, Armand, They are the Best !!!
Friends that money can't buy.
