spring bear hunts,hibernation

Spring Bear Hunts:

Hunting the spring for black bear is probably the most successful.

Bears are coming out of hibernation after a long winter and need to eat.

Getting to a bear's taste buds is the best way to make him or her make mistakes.

With deer you prey on their sexual drive to make mistakes they normally would not make.

With bear you prey on their desire that attracts them the most.

Their desire to eat and they love to eat. During the spring you can make the smartest of bears go against their better instincts.

By enticing them into an area they know might be dangerous from their only prey, Humans.

Nice Weather

It's the time of the year to get away from those winter dull drums. It's also a time when the weather is usually comfortable.

Bears of all sizes will be on the prowl for food to replenish their bodies. Some of them have not eaten in 4 to 5 months. In the spring you have the opportunity to see a lot bear of all sizes.

Young bears that have been chased off by their mothers, because mom is getting ready to breed will show up frequently.

Many times coming in right after the guide pulls away with the truck. They have become what are called the resident bears.

Living within several hundred yards of the bait site.

Mothers with yearling cubs will frequent bait sites as well.

She knows how important it is for them to get food after months of hibernation.

These yearling cubs can provide hours of entertainment, because they can be very playful.

Spring Bear Hunts (Some Action)

Big males (or Boars) will show up to take over the bait, as well to look for females to breed.

These are the bears we all are looking for.

And if you are lucky enough to see one, you need to do your best to harvest him that first night he comes in.

They will not come in very often in daylight hours. After all they didn't get big by making many mistakes.

Then if you are real lucky, you just might have a mother with new born cubs that are only a few months old show up.

That would be something that could be a once an a life time moment.

So if you're looking for a black bear hunt that can be enjoyable in so many ways.

Not to mention go home with a trophy of a life time.
